Detroit Tigers Game Day Guide 2026
Comerica Park sits in the heart of Downtown Detroit, surrounded by some of the best food and nightlife in the city. Whether you’re coming from out of town or just haven’t been to a game in a few years, here’s how to do game day right.
Getting Tickets
SeatGeek is the best place to buy Tigers tickets — the app shows you a color-coded Deal Score so you can spot value seats instantly. Box seats behind home plate run $60–$120 on a weekend; outfield seats can go as low as $12–$25 for a weeknight game.

Buy early for weekend games and premium matchups against the Yankees, Red Sox, or White Sox. Bleacher seats are a great budget option and have their own energy.
Where to Stay
If you’re coming from out of town, staying Downtown puts you within walking distance of Comerica Park. The Westin Book Cadillac, The Shinola Hotel, and the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center are all strong options. Midtown is a 10-minute Lyft if you want a quieter neighborhood with better restaurant options.

Pre-Game Dinner: Where to Eat Before First Pitch
Plan dinner 2.5–3 hours before game time so you’re not rushing. Here are the best pre-game neighborhoods:
Greektown (10-minute walk from Comerica)
Greektown is the classic pre-game district. Pegasus Taverna and Astoria Pastry Shop have been feeding Tigers fans for decades. Reserve at Pegasus Taverna →
Corktown (5-minute Lyft)
Corktown has become Detroit’s best dining neighborhood. Takoi, Ottava Via, and Gold Cash Gold are all excellent pre-game options. Reserve at Gold Cash Gold →
Downtown (walkable)
The Apparatus Room inside the Detroit Foundation Hotel is a reliable upscale option. Prime + Proper is a steakhouse two blocks from the park. Reserve at The Apparatus Room →
Parking and Getting There
Comerica Park is at 2100 Woodward Ave, Detroit. Paid lots surround the stadium — expect $15–$25 for surface lots, $30+ for attached garages. Arrive 45 minutes early on weekends. QLINE streetcar runs along Woodward and connects Midtown to Downtown; it’s $1.50 each way and drops you a block from the park.
What to Expect Inside
Comerica Park is a beautiful stadium — open view of the Detroit skyline, a Ferris wheel for kids in left field, and one of the best ballpark food scenes in MLB. The Michigan & Trumbull stands (named after the old Tiger Stadium corner) serve the best Coney dogs in the park. Detroit-style deep dish is available at the Buddy’s Pizza kiosk on the main concourse.
Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch. Get there early if you want batting practice views or to explore the park without crowds.
Tigers Gear
Wearing gear to the game is part of the experience. Fanatics carries officially licensed Tigers jerseys, hats, and T-shirts. Shop Detroit Tigers gear on Fanatics →
Post-Game: Where to Go After
After the final out, the best move is Greektown for a quick drink or the Monarch Club near Campus Martius for a rooftop. If you’re staying overnight, Corktown bars (The Sugar House, McShane’s) are worth the short Lyft.
