Best value: Greektown Casino garage. $10–$15 flat rate on game days. Walk 10 minutes northeast to Ford Field. You’re also right in Greektown, so pre-game dinner is steps away from your car.
Adjacent lots (Lot 7 and surrounding): $30–$40 on game day. These fill up 90 minutes before kickoff. Worth it only if you need the closest possible walk-in — otherwise Greektown is the move.
Detroit Parking Authority lots: $20–$30, scattered along Gratiot and Brush nearby. Book online in advance for prime-time games — they sell out.
If you’re staying downtown: Walk. Every major hotel is within 15–20 minutes on foot of Ford Field. You skip the post-game parking scramble entirely, which is worth more than the parking cost.
Pre-Game Dinner in Detroit
This is where the Detroit home game experience separates from a generic stadium trip. You’re in one of the better food cities in the Midwest. Don’t eat at the stadium unless you have to.

Apparatus Room (Foundation Hotel, Corktown, 15 min Lyft) — Farm-to-table inside a converted 1929 fire station. Better for the night-before dinner than game day, but worth knowing for a full weekend.
Duet Restaurant (Greektown, 10 min walk) — Greek-American in the heart of Greektown. Fast, solid food, and perfectly positioned if you’re parking in the casino garage.

MGM Grand Detroit (Downtown, 15 min walk) — The largest casino complex in Michigan. Multiple restaurants, rooftop pool, full hotel services. Often the best combination of amenities and price for game weekends.

The Full Game Weekend Itinerary
Saturday (arrive midday): Eastern Market is open Saturdays year-round — walk the sheds, grab coffee at Germack or Folk, pick up snacks. Afternoon: Corktown walk (Third Man Records, Batch Brewing). Evening: dinner in Midtown at Chartreuse or Ima, then drinks at Sugar House or Bad Luck Bar.
